1. When you open Microsoft Outlook 2007 for the first time, you will be presented with the screen below. If you are setting up an additional email account, or are not presented with this screen, you can still add an email account by clicking on “Tools” (in the menu bar), then choosing “Account Settings” and then clicking the “New” button.
2. Choose “Yes” when prompted if you would like to create an email account, as shown below, and click “Next”:
3. This screen has spaces for your information; however, direct your attention to the bottom left and click the checkbox at the bottom of the window. Then click “Next”.
4. Here we choose what type of email account we would like to set up. Please choose “Internet Email” as shown below, and click “Next”.
5. This window is where we enter all of the information for the email account. Please enter the information requested; if you have questions, refer to the screen shot below. PLEASE NOTE: If you are a Spam Filter user, your “Incoming Mail Server” will be newsmtp.tranquility.net, not the indicated pop3.tranquility.net.
6. Now click on the “More Settings” button and the window below will appear. Select the “Outgoing Server” tab. Next, make sure that the first tow boxes are checked (My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication) and (Use same settings as my incoming mail server).
7. In the same window select the “Advanced” tab. Make the following setting changes as shown below.
8. Click Ok, Ok again, Next and Finish. Congratulations! You are now ready to view your email with Microsoft Outlook. If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact us!
